Diabetes Prevention Program- February 2022

Are you looking for connection and support for a healthier 2021? Did you know one out of three adults has prediabetes? Undiagnosed and untreated prediabetes increases risk for diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. If you’re interested in preventing diabetes, join Colorado State University’s Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center for the year-long National Diabetes Prevention Program.

Get ready for our 2022 offering of our popular National Diabetes Prevention Program. NDPP is a dietitian-led educational class and support group. Classes focus on developing, practicing and sustaining behaviors that promote health. This year-long program includes education, resources and support for healthy eating, physical activity, stress management and more!

This class is planned for In-person, pending any changes due to COVID-19 precautions.

Classes will be held Thursdays 12-1 p.m., beginning February 3rd (Orientation will be held on January 27th.)

Registration will remain open until February 24th- if you are able to join we can make up any missed sessions!

Registration includes:

  • 26 classes (weekly meeting for the first several months, then bimonthly to monthly meeting for the remainder of the year)
  • CDC-approved (and recently updated) curriculum and workbook
  • Cooking class
  • Between-class support
  • Membership to Healthie portal to track food, exercise and communicate with group
  • Discounted 1:1 nutrition counseling with an RDN if desired
